Assen, August 10, 2025 – The fourth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season at TT Circuit Assen lived up to its reputation for high-speed action and drama. Across two fiercely contested races, Robin Knutsson and Nick Ho emerged as winners in the fastest single-make series in the Benelux. Rookie honours went twice to Frank Porté Ruiz (Q1 Trackracing), while Jules Grouwels (Team RaceArt) and Jani Käkelä (39 Racing) shared the PRO-AM spoils. After eight races, Jaap van Lagen remains in control of the overall standings.

Qualifying dominance from Knutsson and Ho

Saturday morning’s qualifying session saw Robin Knutsson deliver a flawless lap to claim pole position for race one. Nick Ho set the quickest “second-fastest” lap, earning him pole for Sunday’s contest. In the rookie and PRO-AM classes, Frank Porté Ruiz and Henri Tuomaala (Team Koiranen) took their respective poles.

Knutsson doubles up for the season

Race one, thirty minutes plus one lap, began with Knutsson making a clean getaway from pole and never looking back. “The battle behind me worked in my favour,” smiled the Swede. “With pole, fastest lap, and the win, it’s been a perfect race and I’ve jumped from fourth to second in the standings.” This marked his second victory of the year, adding to his season-opening triumph at Spa.

Van Lagen crossed the line second after working his way past Ho, but admitted: “It took too long to get into P2, which left Robin too far ahead.” Ho secured third, followed by Niels Langeveld (RedAnt Racing) and rookie winner Porté Ruiz. The Andorran held off guest driver Hjelte Hoffner (Team GP Elite) and Mees Muller (PG Motorsport) for his fourth rookie class win of the season.

In PRO-AM, Grouwels claimed victory ahead of Tuomaala and Käkelä.

First-ever win for Nick Ho and PG Motorsport

Race two was disrupted early by an incident involving Milan Marczak (RedAnt Racing) and Domas Raudonis (Team GP Elite), prompting a restart. From pole, Ho launched into the lead and looked set for a straightforward win until a five-second penalty cut his margin to a nail-biting 0.117 seconds. “I’m still shaking,” laughed Ho after taking his first Carrera Cup Benelux victory, as well as PG Motorsport’s first in the championship.

Behind him, a six-car scrap for the podium kept fans on edge. Porté Ruiz charged to second place and another rookie win, with Van Lagen taking third to strengthen his championship lead. Knutsson came home fourth, followed by Sam Jongejan (Team RaceArt) and Langeveld. Hoffner claimed second among the rookies in seventh overall, with Max Schlichenmeier (Kurt Ecke Motorsport) close behind. In PRO-AM, Käkelä secured the win ahead of Grouwels and Tuomaala.
