• Three drivers separated by just two points after a thrilling season opener at Spa-Francorchamps
• IRON DAMES joins the grid with Alexandra Vateva representing the initiative
Zonhoven, Monday 2 June 2025 – The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, the fastest one-make series in the region, heads to the iconic Circuit Zandvoort for the second round of the 2025 season. The Dutch round, held alongside the prestigious DTM championship, sets the stage for races three and four of the season following an action-packed start in the Belgian Ardennes.
At the top of the standings, Jaap van Lagen (Team RaceArt) leads with 40 points—just one ahead of Robin Knutsson (NGT Racing) and two ahead of Nick Ho (PG Motorsport). With such tight margins, several challengers will be looking for redemption in Zandvoort.
Fans will also get their moment, with an autograph session scheduled for Saturday between 11:00 and 11:20 in the DTM fan zone.

Familiar Format, Fierce Competition
Each round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux features two races of 30 minutes plus one lap. In Zandvoort, Van Lagen will aim to defend his narrow lead, while RedAnt Racing's Niels Langeveld and 17-year-old rookie sensation Milan Marczak (both on 21 points) will be chasing podiums. Langeveld, who took pole at Zandvoort last year, will look to repeat that performance at home. Meanwhile, Marczak impressed at Spa with two rookie victories in his debut.
Team RaceArt’s Sam Jongejan and GP Elite’s Domas Raudonis, both on 16 points, will aim to bounce back after a tougher start to their season.
“This season is shaping up exactly as we hoped: extremely competitive and full of talent,” said Series Manager Olivier Aerts. “The tight gaps and exciting mix of rising stars and seasoned drivers make for an incredible championship. I’m looking forward to more action in front of packed grandstands at Zandvoort.”
Other names to watch include Nikola Miljkovic (Spark Racing Team), Alexander Reimann (EST1 Racing), and Thomas Kangro (RedAnt Racing). Guest driver Colin Jamie Böninghausen (Bas Koeten Racing) joins the field for a dual campaign, also racing in the German Carrera Cup.

Rookie and Pro-Am Battles Heat Up
Marczak leads the rookie class but will face stiff competition at Zandvoort. Mees Muller (PG Motorsport) claimed two podiums at Spa, while Frank Porté Ruiz (Q1 Trackracing) and Max Schlichenmeier (cargraphic by Kurt Ecke Motorsport) also have the pace to challenge.
In Pro-Am, Jules Grouwels (Team RaceArt) and Henri Tuomaala (Team Koiranen) split the wins in Spa and are separated by a single point. Jani Käkelä (39 Racing), twice second in Spa, sits just two points behind Grouwels. Guest drivers Niels Troost and Cedric Chassang (both GP Elite) join the Pro-Am grid this weekend.

IRON DAMES Make Their Mark
One of the standout stories this weekend is the addition of Bulgarian rookie Alexandra Vateva (Q1 Trackracing) to the IRON DAMES initiative. “This groundbreaking project, launched by Deborah Mayer in 2018, is dedicated to empowering women in motorsport and beyond,” added Olivier Aerts. “We’re proud to see Alexandra representing the Iron Dames in our championship.”
“Becoming part of Iron Dames isn’t just a dream come true—it’s the start of a mission,” said Vateva. “This opportunity allows me to chase my goals at the highest level and show young girls everywhere that no dream is ever too big.”
