Intense battles across all categories during the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux at JACK’s Casino Racing Day
Popular motorsport festival sets the scene for the second half of the 2025 campaign
Zonhoven, August 5, 2025. The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux returns to the ever-popular JACK’s Casino Racing Day at TT Circuit Assen, a fan-favorite event that’s become a staple on the series calendar. From Thursday, August 7 to Sunday, August 10, the championship heads into its fourth meeting of the year, which also marks the beginning of the all-important second half of the 2025 season. With the title fight wide open, every point matters.

“Assen and JACK’s Casino Racing Day have long been a key part of our championship,” says Olivier Aerts, Series Manager of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. “This incredible event draws tens of thousands of fans, and we’re proud to be a part of it once again. Our paddock will host autograph sessions on Saturday (11:00 AM) and Sunday (10:00 AM), offering fans the chance to meet the stars of the series. The stage is set for an exciting weekend. There’s still everything to play for, and I expect the titles will only be decided at the final checkered flag. Join us this weekend in Assen for races seven and eight of the season!”
Adding to the excitement, Dutch guest driver Hjelte Hoffner joins the grid with Team GP Elite. Having already raced at Spa-Francorchamps and as a regular in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, he brings extra flair to the Assen weekend.

Championship fight intensifies
In the overall standings, Jaap van Lagen (Team RaceArt) holds the lead with 102 points. Breathing down his neck are three fierce contenders: Niels Langeveld (RedAnt Racing) with 96 points, Sam Jongejan (Team RaceArt) on 93, and Robin Knutsson (NGT Racing) with 88. Interestingly, only Jongejan has claimed multiple victories this season, a clear sign of the remarkable competitiveness in this year’s grid. Not far behind, Nick Ho (PG Motorsport) sits fifth with 74 points, still within reach of the title. Domas Raudonis (Team GP Elite) rounds out the top six with 63 points.
Also looking to make their mark in Assen are Nikola Miljkovic (Spark Racing Team), Alexander Reimann (EST1 Racing), and Thomas Kangro (RedAnt Racing with Porsche Estonia), all eager to launch a strong second half of their season.

Rookies rising
After six races, the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux continues to prove itself as a launchpad for emerging talent. Two standout rookies, Milan Marczak (RedAnt Racing) and Frank Porté Ruiz (Q1 Trackracing), are locked in an exciting duel for top newcomer honors. With three victories apiece, Marczak currently leads the rookie table with 135 points to Porté Ruiz’s 110. Fast Dutch driver Mees Muller (PG Motorsport) is third, still chasing his first win but well within range in the standings. Iron Dame Alexandra Vateva (Q1 Trackracing) and Max Schlichenmeier (car graphic by Kurt Ecke Motorsport) complete the top five.

Tight PRO-AM battle
The PRO-AM class is no less dramatic, with Jules Grouwels (Team RaceArt) currently on top. However, Jani Käkelä (39 Racing) and Henri Tuomaala (Team Koiranen) are both firmly in the title hunt, setting the stage for an intense showdown in the coming rounds.

Action kicks off with a test day on Thursday. Friday sees Free Practice 1 at 10:16 AM, followed by Free Practice 2 at 2:59 PM. Qualifying begins on Saturday at 8:56 AM, with Race 1 at 3:09 PM. Race 2 will take place on Sunday at 12:18 PM. Fans can follow all the action live on the series’ official YouTube channel: @CupChallengeBenelux.
