Zonhoven, 27 November 2024 – The 2024 season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux has officially wrapped up with champions crowned and trophies awarded. It was an electrifying year of racing, capped off by Dutch talent Dirk Schouten taking the championship title. Now, all eyes turn to 2025, which promises to build on the success of past seasons with a dynamic six-round calendar featuring two 30-minute-plus-one-lap races at each event. For the twelfth year in a row, the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit will host the season opener alongside the Belgian round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
"It is true that with regard to the 2025 calendar, we will broadly continue with what has proven to be a successful formula in recent years," introduces Olivier Aerts, Series Manager of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, for the new season. "After our traditional test day on April 9 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, drivers and teams will head to the Belgian Ardennes for the first event of the season. Fans will know that this coincides with the Belgian round of the FIA WEC. What follows are five more meetings, three of which are on F1 circuits, namely Zandvoort twice and the Hungaroring once. Of course, typical Benelux circuits like Assen and Circuit Zolder are also included on our calendar."
