#teamPGZ presents plans for 2021

OIRSCHOT / MAASTRICHT, March 4, 2021.

The countdown to the 2021 motorsport season has begun. On April 30 and May 1, the new season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux will start at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in the Belgian Ardennes. A completely new #TeamPGZ will be there with no fewer than three Porsche 992 GT3 Cups, including a clear ambition to win the prizes.

In 2021, #TeamPGZ wants to leave an excellent impression during its debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, the official Porsche make cup for the Netherlands and Belgium. The team will operate under the banner of PGZ's premium brand dealers.

Co-owner Luc Vanderfeesten endorses the importance of motorsport to the company: “As PGZ, we are the official brand dealer for Porsche, Bentley, Jaguar, Land Rover, Energica and ProTech. All brands where passion, emotion, experience and top performance are the core. By entering the asphalt ourselves and thereby experiencing our products, in this case Porsche, to the extreme, we become even more experts in all those core values. And we as a company benefit from this and our customers benefit from it. "

Three Porsche 992!

In the coming season, #TeamPGZ will be entering no less than three Porsche 992 GT3 Cup 2021 and will be working with two technical partners, Red Ant Racing and JW-Raceservice, who are also specialists in Porsche competition.

Ad Geerts, co-owner of PGZ, reveals the teams and drivers for 2021: “The Belgian Red Ant Racing, from former Belgian champion GT and winner of the 24 hours of Zolder, Bert Redant, puts the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of Xavier Maassen in. Xavier will compete in the Pro class and of course wants to compete for the title. Red Ant Racing is also responsible for the car of my colleague Luc Vanderfeesten and myself. We share a 911 in the AM class. In addition, the Porsche of the young talent Huub van Eijndhoven will also receive the colors of #TeamPGZ, but that car will be serviced by JW Raceservice, Jochem van de Wiel's team. Pay attention, because as a "rookie" Huub will certainly compete for the podium places. In the collaboration between PGZ, Red Ant Racing and JW Raceservice, we will really present ourselves as one team and make use of each other's strengths. ”

With the new Porsche 992

Team PGZ takes part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, the fastest and most prestigious brand competition in the Benelux. Just like in Germany, France and the international Porsche Supercup, the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux already has the completely new generation "992" of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup this season. Two-time Porsche Cup champion Xavier Maassen explains what's new.

“The car has been thoroughly redesigned and looks spectacular. The car is wider and has many aerodynamic elements, including the new front spoiler and the larger rear wing, so it also has more downforce than its predecessor. The bodywork is now 70% aluminum, which was previously 30%, and all safety features have been further improved and strengthened. The 510 hp 4-liter boxer engine has become more powerful and various improvements can also be found in the car, including better ergonomics for the driver and a completely new data logging system. We should be about one to one and a half seconds faster per lap. I am really looking forward to driving my first laps with this beautiful car. ”

High-quality competition and can be followed live!

The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2021 shows that Porsche is putting attractive motorsport competitions into practice even in turbulent times. After the start during the FIA WEC weekend in Spa-Francorchamps, meetings will follow during the ADAC GT Masters, the European Le Mans Series and the DTM. In addition, fans and partners can follow all races live via a livestream, unique for the Benelux. Naturally, these are always meetings with two 30-minute sprint races that are always spectacular, thanks to the concept of technically equivalent cars.

#TeamPGZ will keep you regularly informed during the season about the sporting achievements in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2021, its partners and the possibilities for you to experience the action up close.
